BRIEF HISTORY OF MORE THAN CONQUERORS AG
AUNTIE-AKU, OFF SANTA MARIA, MOTORWAY DISTRICT, ACCRA
Beginning
The church began as a church planting initiative of the Living Word AG (Kwashieman), under the leadership of the late Rev. Charles Korankye Atta (rtd.) and his Board in September 2001.
The maiden name of the church was Auntie-Aku AG (ostensibly named after the town). The name was changed to New Way AG (in December 2001) by then-Postor Simon Degbe, the first Pastor of the church. Later the name was changed to More Than Conquerors AG when Rev Jehoshaphat Ayivi was asked to take charge of the church.
Ministers and Transitions
The church has passed through the hands of the following Pastors:
- Prof. Simon Degbe (September 2001- August 2005)
- Pastor Ayikwei Awuley (September 2005 – February 2006)
- Rev Jehoshaphat Ayivi (March 2006 – April 2010).
- Rev. Dr. Freeman Osei-Tete (July 2010 – Present).
Place Of Worship
The church’s main place of worship for its first almost nine (9) years (September 2001 to June 2010) was the classroom of the Fountain Gate School at Auntie-Aku last stop.
In September 2010, the church moved out of the classroom and started worshipping under canopies on a piece of land it had acquired. By September 2012, the church had completed its temporary structure to accommodate the increasing number of members.
In September, 2018, the church cut the sod for the construction of a permanent and bigger place of worship – a 3-storey building with various offices. Work progressed steadily and all the pillars were raised. However, the year 2020 brought with it a pandemic which has significantly slowed down the work. Currently, the church has secured a good quantity of building materials (especially iron rods and bags of cement) and intends to continue with the construction work after its 20th anniversary celebration in September 2021. The church is hopeful that this new structure will be completed and dedicated before its 25th anniversary celebration in September 2026.
Churches Planted and Pastors Trained
From the year 2010 to 2020, the church has trained five Pastors (Rev. Emmanuel Eshun, Pastor Abraham Tengey, Pastor George Agyemfrah, Pastor Stephen Xedzro, and Pastor Benjamin Larbie-Asamoah) and has opened two branches – House of Faith AG (Motorway District) and More Than Conquerors AG (Millenium City, near Budumburam). The church has been given a piece of land by a church member, to plant its third church, within the Amanfro District. A committee has been put in place to work out the modalities.

Leadership
Rev. Dr. Freeman Osei Tete has bbeen a member of the Living Word Assembly (Kwashieman – Motorway District) of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, since 1986. Rev. Freeman by Grace of God is a man of many part – AG head of opperation, an accountant, an administrator and a career counselor. He is a Senior Lecturer and the Coordinator for the Management Studies programme of the Central Business School (CBS) of the Central University College. He is a PhD holder from the University of Ghana Business School, legon.

Executive Summary
The More Than Conquerors Assembly of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, has gone through challenging times moments. But thank God for his mercy and strenght – indeed the gate of hell could not prevail against His Church.
We must come out with this website to outline the genesis of events in and around this Assembly so we don’t lose track of valuable historical events.
